Farewell to Brian Andelin

PCAC is very sad to say goodbye to our friend and fellow arts council member, Brian Andelin, who passed away December 3, 2012. Brian was an active and important member of the arts council and we will miss his ideas, his help, and his friendship. A scholarship was established in 2013 by the Andelin/Leavitt family with PCAC in honor or Brian Andelin. The scholarship goes to a local Pierce City student pursing art or art education after high school.

Pierce City Arts Council

The Pierce City Arts Council (PCAC) was established in 2009. We sponsor an annual arts festival featuring artists, authors, and vendors from Pierce City and the surrounding area. Elements of the festival include artist booths, wine tasting, free art workshops for adults and children, and free root beer floats. PCAC also sponsors an annual art competition for Pierce City students and adult artists. The contest requires participants to draw or depict a subject from Pierce City, past or present.

Mission Statement

The Pierce City Arts Council was established by local artists and volunteers to promote the arts in Pierce City, Missouri for charitable and educational purposes. The mission of PCAC is to encourage community connections through the arts by providing a supportive environment for awareness, appreciation, and participation.
